New entrance marks latest milestone at Maleny Grove

Maleny Grove’s revitalisation has reached another visible milestone, with new entrance signage and stonework now installed as work continues across the community.

The upgraded entrance is taking shape, with rendering of the entry wall and letterbox area also complete. New entry gates will be installed and commissioned in the coming weeks, complemented by further landscaping and a new boulder wall.

Work is also progressing on one of the community’s most anticipated new facilities, with the new swimming pool now poured following building approval for the new community centre. The former pool area has been filled and levelled and the footprint for the new building established.

Across the residential stages, there are now 25 homes under construction in Stage 1, with homes in Stage 1A reaching the final stages and driveways and landscaping underway.

Homes in Stage 1B are progressing through framing and fit-out, while a further 13 homes in Stage 2 are now underway at the plumbing, slab and framing stages.

Meanwhile, civil works across the development are now approximately 93 per cent complete. The new stormwater basin in Stage 1 has been completed, along with tie-in works to the existing village, while new concrete roads have been poured in Stage 2 and lots are being progressively prepared for builders.

In the grounds, planting and mulching are continuing through revegetation areas, including around the protected tree. Work is also underway around the stormwater basin, with new plants, turf preparation, fencing and sandstone wall works helping bring the landscape together.

Planning is continuing for a new visitor parking area adjacent to the workshed, with works to commence once contractor availability is confirmed.
