Next stage unveiled as VIPs gather for launch event
The next chapter in the revitalisation of Maleny Grove has been unveiled, with a new collection of villas and plans for the community’s future clubhouse revealed to prospective buyers for the first time.
Guests gathered at Tiffany’s Maleny for the official launch of the next stage, hosted by acclaimed journalist and Reside Communities Ambassador Kay McGrath.
The event provided the first look at a selection of new two and three-bedroom villa designs planned for Stage 2, with homes priced from $1.04 million.
It follows a strong response to the first stage of the revitalisation, with only three Stage 1 homes remaining and the first new villas nearing completion.
Reside Communities CEO Glen Brown said the release marked another significant step in the transformation of the 5.7-hectare hinterland retirement community.
“It was wonderful to welcome prospective buyers and share more of what we have planned for the future of Maleny Grove,” he said.
“The response to our first stage has reinforced what we have been hearing from buyers about the demand for high-quality retirement living in the hinterland, particularly from people who want to downsize without compromising on their home or lifestyle.
“Maleny Grove already has a wonderful sense of community and our vision is to build on that while creating more opportunities for people to call it home.”

A highlight of the launch was the unveiling of plans for The Lodge, the new clubhouse that will become the social and wellness heart of our community.
Due for completion in 2027, the five-star facility is planned to feature a heated indoor swimming pool, gym, café, bar, dining room, library and hair and beauty salon.
Guests also heard more about the vision behind Maleny Grove’s transformation during a panel discussion featuring Mr Brown, Reside Communities Chief Operating Officer Craig Syphers, Five Good Friends Commercial Director Sam Carson and Thomson Adsett Principal Interior Designer Katrina Miranda.
The discussion explored the thinking behind the new homes and facilities and how the revitalisation is being designed to support an active, connected and low-maintenance lifestyle for residents.
While the latest designs and plans were being unveiled, the transformation of Maleny Grove is also becoming increasingly visible on site.
The first new homes are nearing completion, with painting, fixtures and final fit-out underway ahead of anticipated completion in October, subject to approvals.
Work has also commenced on Stage 2, while civil works across the broader development are approximately 87 per cent complete.
New roads, kerbs, drainage, retaining walls and services are taking shape, along with landscaping and a new entry feature for the community.

The revitalisation will ultimately see Maleny Grove grow from 28 to 94 residences, providing more opportunities for retirees to remain in or relocate to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
Located just minutes from Maleny’s town centre, the community offers convenient access to shops, cafés, supermarkets, health services and the region’s natural attractions.
With only three homes remaining in Stage 1 and the next collection now released, prospective buyers can explore the new villa designs and learn more about the future of Maleny Grove.
